Hello, Via Stockholm Library I have been directed to your website. I live in England and for over 45 years my family have had a copy of this medal and we have never known what it was for or where it came from other than Stockholm. We do not know how it got to England other than around the rim it is inscribed ' B Osborne' who I assume may have been an English person who worked for the Post Service in Stockholm, Sweden? My grandfather, William R Rankin, won this medal for his stamp collecting in the philatelic society in 1955. He was an avid collector and I have a number of medals he received as a result.
I would appreciate someone to contact so I could receive more information.
