År 1925 såldes Skara Nya Skofabrik till disponent Johan Bryntesson, som kom att fortsätta som chef i drygt 35 år. Fabriken bytte då namn till AB J. Bryntesson & Comp. Nu kom skofabriken att inrikta sig på damskor, och blev en av de ledande inom svensk skotillverkning.
Under mitten av 1930-talet var Bryntessons skofabrik Skaras största industri och hade som mest 150 personer anställda. Fabriken lades ned 1966. (Källa: https://minnen.se/tema/platser/8183)
