The exhibition is a chronology of Swedish architecture told through richly detailed models from the Collections at ArkDes. In the exhibition are works by some of Sweden’s most famous architects, including those from the golden age of Swedish Modernism.
More than eighty models present architectural ideas, urban plans and construction methods. From 9th Century stone churches and Rococo summer houses to the extraordinary engineering of the Katarina elevator and the rise of Modernism after World War II, there is in-depth information to explore. Discover drawings, study models, and more in the drawers beneath the plinths.
Architecture in Sweden is suitable for all ages, and fascinating for anyone interested in Swedish cities and buildings.
